La béatification le 17 mai à Chambéry du père Camille Costa de Beauregard

The Costa de Beauregard family is one of the most renowned families in the Savoy region. One of its members, Camille (1841-1910), is illustrious in the eyes of the Church. A Savoyard priest born in Chambéry, he founded the Bocage orphanage in Chambéry in 1868. Father Costa could have benefited from his high social standing, but he preferred to dedicate his life to the most disadvantaged, focusing on young people. He is known as the "Father of Orphans." His work continues today through the Costa de Beauregard agricultural high school and a children's home. On May 17th, he will be beatified thanks to the efforts of Bishop Laurent Ulrich, the local bishop at the time. An artist and philosopher before receiving God's call, Camille's atypical faith journey is explored through the testimony of Father Jean-François Chiron, a priest of the Diocese of Chambéry and professor at the Catholic University of Lyon.
