Rising star Bridgit Mendler working on college degree

Disney gave her her start, now actress and singer Bridgit Mendler is gearing up for her second album. "It's coming out next year. I want to make it the best it can be," said Mendler. The entertainer with hits like 'Ready or Not' and 'Somebody' is on tour and bringing her show to The Paramount Theater on Long Island Wednesday night. Her musical success began with a chance to sing during the Disney movie Lemonade Mouth. "It was a great venue to introduce myself- musically- to Disney" said Mendler. Her music tends to be sassy and fun. "I think it's good to tell a love story that is quirky," said Mendler. When she's not entertaining, she's working on completing her college degree in anthropology. "I like the idea of justifying why people are the way they are. So you study people and they might be very different from you, but you understand them. I think that applies to acting," said Mendler.
