The cormorant is an all year favourite of a lot of anglers who fish for trout on both large reservoirs or stillwaters across the UK. When it comes to fishing competitions if the trout are taking cormorants then this is an absolutes (almost) sure thing and my go to pattern along with a couple of others. The chartreuse green butt is a must and gives an excellent hotspot that the trout seem to really home in on. Generally these cormorants are fished on a floating on tip line with either a FAB or Booby on the point in the washing line style.
