« Comme un lundi ! » (1996) - (8/9)

On Monday, February 5, 1996, the talk show "Comme un lundi!" (Like a Monday!), hosted by Christophe Dechavanne, dedicated its episode to UFOs and extraterrestrials, with the theme "Do ETs Exist?". It pitted: the "For" camp (in yellow), composed notably of Jean-Pierre Petit, Gildas Bourdais, Jimmy Guieu, Hugo Nhart, Pierre Beake, and the contactee Pierre Monnet. against the "Against" camp (in blue), composed notably of Pierre Lagrange, Paul-Eric Blanrue, Catherine Lemaire, Michel Meurger, Sheryll Mulhern, and Michel Chevalet. According to Nicolas Maillard (at the time), the debunker Pierre Lagrange actively participated in the final editing of the program. Jimmy Guieu, a guest on the show, explains in his book "OVNI. "ET: The Hidden Truth," that this program was rigged for disinformation purposes, biased in advance in favor of the "Against" side, to trap and discredit ufologists (Chapter 6, pp. 144-153). In this eighth segment, Pierre Beake recounts a strange experience he had at the Col de Vence. The program then revisits a case of a fake UFO landing, already broadcast in 1994 on "Faut pas pousser!" (Don't Push It!), which is itself a repeat of a similar staged event to the one already staged for "Ciel, mon mardi!" (Heavens, It's Tuesday!) in November 1989.
