Friendship With Holy Spirit - Pastor Tim Spirk

Most of us learned about the Holy Spirit as a doctrine before we ever learned about Him as a person. He got filed somewhere between a theology textbook and a Sunday school answer — the third member of the Trinity, present at creation, active at Pentecost. But what if the Holy Spirit isn't just a concept to understand? What if He's someone to know? Romans 7:6 tells us we are called to live "in the new way of living in the Spirit." That word Spirit — pneuma in Greek — means breath, breeze, a current of air, the wind of God. Not a force. Not a feeling. A person. And when we receive Jesus, that person comes to live inside us and makes our heart His home.
