Solo Touring Kalimantan Satria FUFI | Episode 4 (2025)

The journey across Kalimantan continues with Episode 4. This time, the route is Buntok - West Kutai, following the central axis of the Trans Kalimantan route, one of Kalimantan's inland routes with challenging road conditions that are not always clearly marked on digital maps. This Kalimantan tour took me through the interior of Kalimantan, with its dirt, mud, and quite extreme inclines. Along the way, I passed a remote village that doesn't appear on Google Maps or Google Search. Just try searching for "Datan Village" and see if you can find it. Without any specific plan, this trip turned into an eye-opening experience about access and life in the interior of Kalimantan. At one point, I even had to dismantle my motorcycle in the middle of the road to continue because it got stuck in the mud. Furthermore, the trip also crossed Mount Odang, a route known for its steepness and severely damaged road conditions.
