Corn Belt Railroading: Following the Toledo, Peoria and Western Railway
Hidden amongst the prairies, cornfields and grain elevators of rural Indiana and Illinois exists a unique agricultural short line that, despite all historical odds, continues to thrive well into the 21st century. In this video presentation, we follow the busiest segment of the Toledo, Peoria and Western Railway from Reynolds Indiana to La Hogue Illinois, a distance of a little under 70 miles. We'll catch locals, road trains, unit trains, and of course, hear lots of EMD music as we take a look at contemporary corn belt railroading on the Toledo, Peoria & Western.
