Walther P14 – Built for German Special Forces

At EnforceTac 2026, Kaya stopped by the Walther booth to look at the new P14 — a duty pistol developed specifically for German Special Forces units including KSK (Kommando Spezialkräfte) and KSM (Kampfschwimmer). While the P14 shares visual DNA with the Walther PDP, internally it has been heavily revised for extreme reliability and durability. Key highlights: • Developed for KSK and KSM special forces • Redesigned internal components • Modified tolerances for sand, dirt, and extreme environments • Proprietary magazines engineered for debris shedding • Direct-mount optic system (Aimpoint footprint) • Suppressor-height co-witness sights • Duty trigger optimized for cold weather and gloved use • Optional compensator configuration • Compact and full-size contract variants The pistol has been tested for extreme cold, sand exposure, and harsh environmental conditions. According to Walther, the internal redesign and magazine modifications were key to ensuring reliability in those environments. Civilian availability has not yet been confirmed, as priority is fulfilling military contracts.
