Tangled Video Game. In an isolated tower in a far-off kingdom, a girl named Rapunzel sees a stream of lights every year on her birthday. Sora, Donald, and Goofy’s journey see them arrive in the kingdom’s forest. They encounter a man on the run from a group of Heartless. Introducing himself as Flynn Rider, he leaves the Heartless to the three heroes. Upon defeating the Heartless, Sora, Donald, and Goofy decide to follow Flynn’s trail. They discover a dead end, but Sora ends up falling through a hidden passage. Following through, they discover the tower. Meanwhile, Flynn has been tied up by Rapunzel, using her long hair as a rope. She wants his help getting to the kingdom to see the lights up close, learning that it’s a show meant for the kingdom’s princess. She will return a satchel that he owns as payment, which Flynn agrees to by enlisting the help of Sora, Donald, and Goofy, claiming they’re his assistants. Rapunzel is conflicted between joy at her first time outside and worrying about her mother, which Flynn and Sora’s group try and help her with as they progress. Rapunzel’s mother, Gothel, discovers the tower empty. Marluxia, an enigmatic cloaked figure, claims he can help bring her back. Sora and his group encounter a large flower, which turns out to be part of a group of Nobodies that Marluxia controls. Flynn and Rapunzel run, leaving the fight to Sora, Donald, and Goofy. As Sora searches for Rapunzel and Flynn, they meet with Gothel. She asks for their help finding Rapunzel but dismisses them upon learning that they don’t know where she is either. Sora eventually catches up to Rapunzel as they reach the kingdom. Rapunzel is interested in a mural depicting the royal family before deciding to join in the festivities. That night, she returns Flynn’s satchel to him as they take part in the lantern show. Flynn decides to leave suddenly, and Marluxia tricks Rapunzel into thinking he abandoned her. Gothel appears before Rapunzel, pleased to see her safe. Sora, Donald, and Goofy realize something is wrong, but Marluxia casts a sleeping spell on Sora. Back in the tower, Rapunzel wakes up and discovers a handkerchief she picked up at the festival. Looking at the emblem, she realizes she’s been painting the same emblem in her room and realizes she is the princess. Confronting Gothel, she learns that Flynn has been arrested and vows to leave the tower. Flynn has managed to escape arrest and races back to the tower, encountering the sleeping Sora along the way. With the help of the horse Maximus, together they ride to the tower. Flynn enters and discovers Rapunzel tied up, but is attacked from behind by Gothel. Rapunzel cuts her hair, a source of magical power, and in her anger and despair Gothel ages rapidly and becomes a Heartless. Sora defeats the Heartless and finds Rapunzel grieving over Flynn. Her tears still have the same magical properties as her hair, healing his injury. Sora, Donald, and Goofy say their goodbyes to Rapunzel and Flynn, learning the latter’s real name is Eugene Fitzherbert. Join Sora, Donald, and Goofy as they help Rapunzel on her adventure.
