How to Open a Stuck or Damaged Mercedes Hood Latch With No Tools

Procedure for opening the hood latch of most mid-2000's Mercedes hood latch if the cable or latch release mechanism is damaged. This particular video is of a W211 (E-Class) but the principle and latch mechanism is the same for most similar vehicles. Tools required are limited to having a way to get under the vehicle and possibly a long flat blade screwdriver. Time to complete is under ten minutes not including lifting the vehicle. Hope it helps!
