A tutorial on how to dye your fabric for the A Christmas Carol SAL. This is not required to participate in the SAL but adds a little extra something to the finished look. Materials needed: 8 X 8 Aida or Evenweave fabric, 100% cotton Taupe Rit dye A measuring cup (1 1/3 cups of water) 1/8 teaspoon Large jar for mixing dye Small jar about 9.5 inches around Small rag for holding hot jar Plastic fork Towel for drying Gloves ***Once used for dying, many of these items CANNOT be used for food. ***Please be very careful when dealing with boiling water and hot jars.
