Albuquerque Police Respond to Shots Fired at Apartment Complex

Around 11:15AM, a shots fired call came out near the 8000 block of Zuni SE in a church parking lot. Albuquerque Police Department officers rushed to the scene and located a man with a gunshot wound to his arm. He was able to give a description of the suspect and APD started searching the area. Police focused on an apartment complex near the 100 block of Tennessee SE. While officers were securing the perimeter we hear 3 gun shots ring out near the apartment complex. Officers jumped into action and started swarming the area to find out where the shots were coming from. Officers found an occupied apartment unit and that was where two suspects were located. A male and female were taken into custody after the gun shots were fired. It is unclear who the shots were directed at. It should be noted we noticed a female was standing outside while officers were focused on the complex and when the shots were fired she retreated into the unit where the suspect was located. While the shooting victim was being loaded into the ambulance he got off the stretcher and started yelling at the male suspect while the criminal was being taken into custody by police.
