"It's your fault, you'll never amount to anything" – Marcus Walther endured emotional coldness and verbal humiliation as a child. The boy also experienced physical violence in his parents' home. Other children hadn't come to him for a long time. His longing for love and acceptance drove him to drugs. This allowed him to cope with the pain and hurt. He became addicted, was kicked out of his home, and was homeless. One night, he slipped into a psychosis in which he almost strangled a child.
