The point of this technique is to help you obtain new sounds and complement your legato technique during solos, but not only. You can use tapping harmonically, too, like Stanley Jordan, and in many other different ways. In this guide, I will give you the basic principles, how to set up your instrument, and how to keep your body for this technique. I will also explain to you the most important and difficult parameter to master: muting.
