10 DDR Feuerwehrfahrzeuge, die fast VÖLLIG verschwunden sind

This video is a revised version of a video that briefly enjoyed considerable success in late 2025 – before being removed by YouTube due to a copyright dispute. The original version contained archive footage that was subsequently challenged. This version has been completely revised, legally rectified, and supplemented with new, licensed material. In this video, we take a look at 10 fire engines from East Germany and the Eastern Bloc that are almost unknown today: from the IFA W50 to the Robur and Barkas, all the way to powerful Tatra emergency vehicles. We discuss their technology, daily operations, the shortages of resources, and why many of these vehicles have simply disappeared from our roads. A huge thank you goes to Michael Wermke (midwey.de) for the historical video footage that you'll see at several points in the film. Without such enthusiasts, many of these stories simply couldn't be told so effectively. 🙌 Chapters & Contents: 0:00 Intro 1:45 10th Place: Barkas B1000 3:30 9th Place: Garant K30 5:15 8th Place: Robur LO 2002 A (Ello) 7:45 7th Place: IFA W50 10:30 6th Place: IFA S4000 12:15 5th Place: IFA G5 14:00 4th Place: DL 30 Turntable Ladder 15:45 3rd Place: Tatra 148/815 17:30 2nd Place: ZIL 131 19:00 1st Place: Robur LD 2002 A 20:45 Outro If you enjoy these deep dives into automotive history – whether it's East Germany, the Eastern Bloc, or other forgotten legends – please subscribe and check out the other videos on the channel.
