Recently, journalists from Slidstva.Info told the story of the soldier Volodymyr Srebrodolsky, who was tortured in Russian captivity. After the body was returned to Ukraine, some of his fellow villagers opposed his burial, and officials and local authorities could not or did not want to explain where exactly the soldier was buried. For weeks we tried to find out where Volodymyr Srebrodolsky was buried. We went to three cemeteries, sent inquiries and called various institutions, but we never received an answer. This story haunted us. In the end, we found Mr. Volodymyr’s grave. What we saw was no less shocking than the story of his burial: the soldier was buried without a flag and military honors.
