The Peavey Decade doesn’t arrive quietly, it snarls its way into the room and dares you to look away. In this review I put the Peavey Decade pedal through its paces to see if the hype stacks up. Supposedly Josh Homme’s “secret weapon,” it’s gritty, raw, and unapologetically nasty. But does it do more than lean on nostalgia? I spent some time with it, and it turns out this box of chaos has more to say than just noise. Recorded with a Lewitt 440DM through the Orange PPC212 with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers and combined with a Celestion 212 setting on a Captor X for the most accurate representation of what i heard in the room.
