The Craziest Movie Never Made

In 1998, Warner Bros cancelled a Superman movie three weeks before filming was supposed to start. They had already spent thirty million dollars. Tim Burton was directing. Nicolas Cage was starring. Kevin Smith had written the screenplay. The producer, Jon Peters, had three rules: Superman could not wear his costume, could not fly, and had to fight a giant spider in the third act. Five screenwriters tried to make it work. The budget went from a hundred million to a hundred and ninety million. The concept art was stunning. The costumes were fitted. The sets were partially built. And then the studio killed it. No footage was ever shot. Jon Peters went on to produce Wild Wild West, which featured a giant mechanical spider. Twenty-five years later, Nicolas Cage finally appeared as Superman in a cameo in The Flash, fighting a giant spider. Thirty million dollars. Zero frames. The craziest movie never made. ► If you found this video eye-opening, please like and subscribe to support our channel! ► Thank you for watching! See you in the next one.
