What’s “White” about Japanese White Day?

As you may know from anime and manga, we celebrate Valentine's day in Japan too. During this time of the year, almost every supermarket and convenience store will prepare a “Valentine’s chocolate area” somewhere in their shop. However, the way we celebrate Valentine's in Japan is a little different from around the world, and we also have a unique day called “ホワイトデー White Day” a month after Valentine’s day.
