On May 1st, 1971, Amtrak was founded by the United States government in response to freight railroads struggling with their smaller passenger services. 50 years later, Amtrak is still going strong with nearly 85,700 passengers riding Amtrak every single day, serving over 500 stations in 46 US states. In this video, you will find various Amtrak trains that I've managed to catch all over the east coast from north to south. Services featured in this video include the Wolverine, Blue Water, Pere Marquette, Pennsylvanian, Silver Meteor, Silver Star, Auto Train, Hiawatha, Capitol Limited, California Zephyr, Illinois Zephyr, Southwest Chief, and even the Hosier State with Iowa Pacific equipment!
