My Murray Cypress Trees, 10 Years Later
Shearing & topping regularly promotes thickness & airflow, but I never did it & was always afraid I was hurting the tree by cutting it, but looking back, cutting (shearing/topping) ultimately is beneficial & would encourage you to research the best way to shear & top them. Also, the Murrays' may be around 25 to 27 feet.
