In this video, I'll show you how to make a cord, also called a knitted tube, using a knitting dolly. Besides the knitting dolly, you'll need yarn, a crochet hook or knitting needle, and a needle for weaving in ends. Tip: Yarns with a thickness of 2.5 mm to 5 mm are suitable. 1. Using the needle, pull the yarn through the knitting dolly from top to bottom. The yarn end should protrude about 10 cm at the bottom. 2. Now hold the yarn firmly with the hand that's holding the knitting dolly. With your other hand, wrap the yarn coming out of the knitting dolly clockwise around one of the pegs. 3. Now wrap the yarn clockwise around the next peg and then on to the following peg. 4. Now all four pegs are wrapped. From now on, you'll work clockwise, knitting each stitch one after the other. To do this, hold the knitting dolly in your left hand and wrap the yarn twice around your left index finger. Bring the yarn over the existing loop and in front of the first stitch. Now, using a crochet hook, pick up the lower strand of yarn. 5. …and lift it over the other strand and the stitch to the inside. Continue in this way until you reach the desired length of cord. 6. You must now pull the knitted section downwards as you go. 7. When you're finished, cut the yarn, thread it onto a needle, and pull it through all the stitches one after the other. 8.
