‘Public transport will remain available’ – SANTACO ahead of 30 June

The South African National Taxi Council (SANTACO) says it will be business as usual on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, distancing the taxi industry from any planned anti-illegal immigration national shutdowns or protests. SANTACO President Abnar Tsebe says taxi services will remain fully operational across all normal transport routes, ensuring commuters can safely travel to work and that economic activity continues uninterrupted.
