It turns out that most aquaponic systems are missing out on a lot of the nutrients that are available to them! In this video I talk all about mineralization tanks and how they can greatly increase your system's ability to utilize nutrients by digesting all of that poop your fish make. The sizing that I chose for my tank is a very rough approximation. I HIGHLY recommend that you size your mineralization tank using the above guidelines if at all possible.* UPDATE: It has been brought to my attention that the figures for pump sizing in this video are not correct for this use case. The 60 LPM pump I am running on this 20 gal mineralization tank is slightly too small. For a tank of this size I would have gotten the next size up.
