WHY I UPLOADED THE BACKING ACCOMPANIMENT TRACK AND SHEET MUSIC I uploaded the backing accompaniment track and sheet music for “The Songs That Brought Us Home” so others can do more than just listen. This version gives singers, residents, friends, and family a chance to follow the music, see the words, and join in. The backing track makes it easier to sing the song without the lead vocal, and the sheet music helps people learn it, practice it, or simply follow along. I wanted this song to be shared, not just heard. It honors the veterans of the Armed Forces Retirement Home and the memories, courage, and comfort carried in the songs that stayed with them through their years of service.
