After many years working with the Elektron Octatrack, I still find myself stuck once in a while with no clue why the audio signal is gone. Octatrack has a pretty convoluted signal chain and gain staging, plus many factors can play together to ruin your day and make you want to scream, so I ended up writing down a checklist that become very helpful. One learned all the way things can go sideways, you will be able to find the issue and save your live set. At the end I will share how I create a safe net to reset everything to a working state pressing two buttons.
