FiberHome Wireless Router Repair. FiberHome Router Repair | 5G WiFi Band Not Working || Easy Fix I repair a FiberHome FTTH router AN5506-04 with a 5G WiFi band problem. The router worked on 2.4 GHz WiFi, but had no signal on 5 GHz WiFi. I diagnosed the fault to a 5V switching regulator (SMD marking code 309) stuck in reboot mode at 179 kHz with only millivolt output. By injecting an external 5V high current in parallel, the short-circuit/overcurrent cleared, and the regulator restarted at 1.4 MHz with stable 5V output.
