2026, June 11 | Holdom Ave Overpass | Burnaby | BC Drone construction update from the Holdom Overpass Project in Burnaby, BC. In this video, we take a new aerial look at the major progress on the Holdom Overpass, part of the Burnaby Rail Corridor Improvements Project. The new four-lane overpass will extend Holdom Avenue south over the rail corridor and Still Creek, connecting it with Douglas Road and replacing the existing Douglas Road rail crossing. Once complete, the project is expected to improve traffic flow, road safety, emergency response, walking and cycling connections, and rail movement efficiency through the area. According to the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, the project is being delivered in partnership with the City of Burnaby, CN, and the Government of Canada. Construction began in December 2024, with the overpass superstructure targeted for summer 2026, public opening planned for spring 2027, and overall project completion expected in fall 2027.
