As the Euphrates River's water level rises, the damage is worsening in large areas of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa in eastern Syria, amid warnings of repercussions threatening residents and infrastructure. The Deir ez-Zor Governorate confirmed drownings of children, the flooding of lands and river islands, the rendering of bridges unusable, and damage to displaced people living in tents.
