Gloria Steinem and bell hooks engaged in a dialogue, "Talking Together: A Legacy of Solidarity," at St. Norbert College on April 21, 2015. This talk took place during a week-long bell hooks Residency at the college. Steinem, known internationally as a key historical figure and founder of the women's movement, was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013 for her lifetime of social justice advocacy. hooks is a captivating speaker and canonical social justice scholar who has authored nearly 40 books, including five books for children. She is currently the Distinguished Professor in Residence in Appalachian Studies at Berea College.
