We found cheap flights to Papa Westray with Loganair - but it meant spending a night on the beach!

Orkney is an absolute dream destination for aviation enthusiasts like me, and we found a couple of last-minute seats on the Kirkwall - Papa Westray route for £20 return each, so we just HAD to go! The only problem was this being an 'excursion' fare which had an overnight stay within the rules. So we pulled the tent out the back of the van, hopped onboard, and departed on an island adventure with absolutely no knowledge of what this famous wee island would be like. 9th Aug Kirkwall - Papa Westray LM0705 1530 1545 10th Aug Papa Westray - Kirkwall LM0709 1001 1016 Although we weren't able to fly the famous Westray - Papa Westray route (which is the world's shortest scheduled passenger flight), we WERE able to watch it as we waited for our return flight, and what a weird experience it is to stand at an airport and be able to watch your inbound flight taxi, take off and fly from another! I think it was almost better than actually flying it!
