The Scarecrow's Wedding by Elaine's Senior Infants Portlaoise Educate Together National School

This is a Fís Film created by Elaine Kirwan's senior infant class in April 2019. Elaine's Senior Infants love the story of The Scarecrow's Wedding by Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler. The children used the text to develop their literacy skills. They created storyboards and made props during Aistear and used them in the making of their film. This was a fun project and very worthwhile. Senior Infants won an award for "Best Entertainment" for their film at the Laois Film Awards in May 2019. A great day was had by all at the movie premiere at Odeon Cinema Portlaoise. This film was created using two iPads, the voice memo app and a free version of Windows Movie Maker.
