After a short yet brilliant promotional rehearsal last year, Fields of Agony now unleash their first output in full force and realization. Featuring members of Final Dose, Hatred Majesty, Coldfall and Kasturn, this new brethren of the Brittish Black Metal scene carries the torch of battlefield torment and militant nostalgia whose stepping-stones have been layed by the Finnish and French Black Metal scenes. Following the lines of some of their compatriots as well, such as Kasturn, Thunorsleap, Forest Grave, etc, through scorched fields and ruinous castles, the sound of a thousand lost battles yet unyielding god-deffying strength is embodied by the portentous melodies and rhytms of ancient Black Metal purity.
