Rooted in resilience: A decade of transformative change in Africa’s cities with the UNA programme
From 2014 to 2025, the Urban Natural Assets (UNA) programme transformed urban landscapes across 11 African cities. By placing nature at the heart of governance and planning, UNA co-creates sustainable, nature-based solutions to address complex societal challenges. Supported by ICLEI Africa, SwedBio, and Sida, this initiative proves that climate-smart development thrives when grounded in justice and community ownership. Watch how the programme built equitable cities where nature and people flourish together.
