DEACON BRODIE - Edinburgh’s REAL Jekyll and Hyde?
Jekyll and Hyde - The story of Edinburgh's Deacon Brodie Brodie - a man with a double life. A real life inspiration for Jekyll and Hyde. Deacon Brodie was a respected member of Edinburgh society during the day and gambler and womaniser by night. When his expenses became too much, he turned his skills as a locksmith to robbery throughout the city, and would go on to pay the ultimate price. Follow my adventures as I travel through the landscapes and history of Scotland. I make quick, quirky and (hopefully) funny content about Scotland's past, people and scenery. I look for the hidden stories, forgotten people and beautiful scenery of Scotland and try to find the funny in the darkness, obscurity and occasional absurdity of our history.
