In this video I explain why someone would get need a Colposcopy, what to expect at the appointment, and what the results mean. Colposcopies are done when someone has an abnormal pap smear to prevent abnormal paps from growing into precancerous cells. If you are getting a Colposcopy, it does not mean that you have cancer, it is just a preventative measure to treat a problem which could potentially become bigger in a few years with no action taken.
