Building A Demodulator To Monitor AM and SSB Transmissions
I wanted a simple way to listen to my own AM and SSB transmission over the air without having to use a receiver. By sampling a bit of RF off the coax line and putting it into a diode demodulator, I can clearly hear what my AM and SSB signals sounds like over the air. To demodulate a SSB signal it requires an additional RF generator to inject carrier into the diode demodulator.
