Its beauty is fascinating, particularly in the spring and summer when everything is green and alive! It is the largest park in the central area of Bucharest, it was built in 1847 and it attracts an average of 5100 visitors during a weekend day. The name of the gardens has Turkish origins: Ceșme means "public fountain" and cișmigiu or cișmegiu used to be the person responsible for building and maintaining public fountains.
