A divine man who shines in the spiritual history of Tamil Nadu – Sadhguru Gnani Velliangiri Swamigal, On the other side – Velliangiri Hills, which are revered as the abode of Lord Shiva. This video is a living spiritual epic where these two great divine experiences come together. Velliangiri Swamigal was born on February 15, 1938, in a simple family in Chinnakollapatti village of Salem district, with the original name of Pethagounda. From childhood, a deep sense of asceticism and inner wisdom emerged. This is reminiscent of Bhagwan Ramana Maharshi’s youthful ascetic journey. 🕉️ Guru’s Grace & Yogic Achievement Velliangiri Swamigal, accepted Courtallam Sankarananda Swami as his guru, and was initiated into the Siddha Yoga tradition of Swami Sivananda Paramahamsa. He mastered high yogic achievements like Vasi Yoga. Just as Swami Vivekananda was guided by the grace of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, similarly, the grace of the Guru elevated Velliangiri Swami on the path of knowledge. He worshipped the Guru, the deity, the temple, the Tirtha – all properly, and also undertook a life of penance related to Mount Kailash. 🏔️ Velliangiri – South Kailash Located in the Western Ghats, about 30 km from Coimbatore, Mount Velliangiri is revered by many names such as South Kailash, Dakshina Kailash, Ratnagiri, and Phuloka Kailash. Surrounded by clouds and shining like molten silver, this mountain got the name “Velliangiri”. In the Panchabhuta temples, Shiva appears as each individual Bhuta. But in Velliangiri – it is believed that Lord Shiva is the power of all five Bhutas combined together. Therefore, it is considered one of the most powerful spiritual places in the universe. 🛕 Poondi – Foothills The foothills of Velliyangiri mountain are called Poondi. Here: Sri Velliyangiri Ishwar Manonmani Amman Dhyana Lingam Panch Vinayagar Mandapam Mandapas where devotees stay Those who are unable to climb the mountain can also worship here and get the full benefits. ⛰️ Seven Thiruparai – Seven Mountains Seven mountains, each about 3500 feet high, each with its own unique spiritual significance. At the top of the seventh mountain, a Swayambhu Lingam is enshrined in a cave.
