The Nick Spencer run had a lot to say about the cyclical nature of Peter Parker's one-sided feud with the Osborns and the mantle of the Green Goblin, and how it always seems to end in the death of someone Peter Parker loves -- be it Gwen Stacy, Ben Reilly, or even Harry Osborn himself. I understand that a lot of readers were disappointed with the Sin Eater arc, but I think it was some of the best Spidey writing we've gotten for the character since the awful Brand New Day era started. Plus, it's a real diamond in the rough when you compare it to the Zeb Wells run that came immediately after...
