Hi folks, I’m sharing another very nice sporting rifle. This is my new Browning X-Bolt Pro chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. The specs and details are listed below. Enjoy! Specs/Features Advertised weight: 97 ounces or 2750 grams Actual weight with Leupold scope and mounting hardware: 126 ounces or about 3570 grams Overall length: 42 inches or 106 cm Barrel length: 22 inches or 56 cm Muzzle break with included thread protector cap Factory lapped barrel Fluted barrel Spiral fluted bolt Extended bolt handle Fluted bolt knob Adjustable featherweight trigger Finish: Stainless steel with brunt bronze Cerakote Stock: Carbon fiber 360 degree weave with noise-dampening foam Recoil pad: Inflex Caliber: 6.5 Creedmoor The X-Bolt Pro is offered in 12 different calibers Note: Browning also makes an X-Bolt Pro Long Range rifle with a 26’ barrel. The Long Range version is heavier and slightly more expensive. Optics: Custom Shop Leupold VX-6HD 3-18x44mm with a FireDot duplex reticle, parallax adjustment wheel and custom turret option Scope color: Brunt Bronze to match rifle Scope mounts: standard height integrated scope mounts (X-Bolt Sys, bronze Cerakote 30mm, item #12534). These mounts are made by Talley for Browning. The X-Bolt Pro only comes with one detachable rotary polymer magazine. It holds 4 cartridges of 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition. The item #112044506 (X-Bolt Pro Burnt Bronze Cerakote magazine). Pros: Solid construction Excellent accuracy Smooth action, operation and ejection Crisp/clean trigger pull Highly weather resistant design Cons: Only comes with one magazine Very few scope choices to match rifle finish Expensive setup Preferred ammo: 6.5 Creedmoor – Hornady Precision Hunter 143 grain ELD-X (this shot the best) 6.5 Creedmoor – Nosler Trophy Grade 140 AccuBond (very good) 6.5 Creedmoor – Barnes VOR-TX LR 127 grain polymer tip boat tail (very good) In summary, the X-Bolt Pro is a semi-custom sporting rifle. It is reliable and shot groups are repeatable. It is as accurate as advertised. It is highly weather resistant and has a sleek/modern design.
