Richard Strauss - Piano Music - "Andante, teneramente", LIVE
Richard Strauss - "Andante, teneramente", from Five Piano Pieces op. 3 Alex Alguacil, piano. Live at Palau de la Música Catalana. This is the first piece of Fünf Klavierstücke, op. 3 (1880-81) a group of five pieces in a romantic style, influenced by Schumann and Mendelssohn. The melody of the beginning - two ascending notes at an octave distance followed by three descending notes - is a motif that will appear in the other four pieces, either literally or transformed, thus giving certain unity to the whole composition. This little motive will be used by Strauss in later works, for example in Death and Transfiguration, expressing a sort of nostalgic memory or romantic longing. 🎵The complete selection I played live at Palau de la Música in Barcelona: • Strauss Five Piano Pieces LIVE at Palau de... 🎬 My explicative video about the piano music of Strauss: DISCOVERING THE PIANO MUSIC OF RICHARD STRAUSS: • Discovering Richard Strauss' Piano Music -... 📓Digital booklet from the CD Digital Booklet (english): http://alexalguacil.com/press/Alex-Al... -------------- MORE PIANO MUSIC BY RICHARD STRAUSS "Beside the spring": • R.
