List of 8 Voice Actors Who Passed Away in 2023 With each passing day, the world of voice acting grows increasingly saddened by the passing of classic, iconic, and incomparable voice actors. Their voices have already been immortalized in the most incredible work they've done, and most of the voice actors featured in today's video have already been remembered and honored while they were still alive here on the channel. But let's pay our posthumous tribute to these great talents who will never be forgotten. One of the great voices who passed away was Gilmara Sanchez in March of this year. Gilmara is well known for voicing Lois Lane in Superman and Marin de Águia in Saint Seiya. She is one of the most iconic voices in the anime that became popular in the 1990s. I can say that this voice acting, along with the voice acting for El Chavo, brought the voice acting profession to the level it is today. Gilmara also voiced the Dark Witch in Yu-Gi-Oh!, Officer Jenny in Pokémon, and Sailor Mercury in Sailor Moon. Another great star who left us was the magnificent Geisa Vidal, who even lived here in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais (April 4). She was one of the oldest voice actresses in the country, inspiring several current voice stars. She became well-known for voicing Vivian Banks in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Rosie in A Bug's Life, Clarabelle in Disney cartoons, Petunia Dursley in Harry Potter, and Queen Narissa in Enchanted. Another voice role that many fans enjoy is Captain Janeway. Geisa's Alzheimer's disease unfortunately worsened and she passed away in April of this year. Ten days after Geisa's passing, another great name she left us was Gileno Santoro. He was the classic voice actor for Master Roshi in the Dragon Ball anime, one of the most beloved voice actors in the cast (April 15th) and also remembered for voicing Jackie Chan's Uncle in the animated series and Link to the interview Gileno gave on Wendel's channel:    • Gileno Santoro, a voz do MESTRE KAME   Gileno passed away at the age of 74 in April of this year. Another great voice actor he left behind was Lauro Fabiano at the age of 85. (June 1st) The magnificent voice actor had a 70-year career since voicing Peter Pan in 1953. He gained considerable prominence voicing Til Phil in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Another acclaimed voice role by Lauro is undoubtedly that of Dumbledore in the Harry Potter film series. He has dozens of well-known voice roles, including Mr. Burns in The Simpsons, Anton Ego in Ratatouille, and he also narrated several Hanna Barbera cartoons. Three weeks after Lauro Fabiano's passing, Roberto Macedo passed away. (June 25th) This guy had a legendary voice! He was well known for voicing Dr. Octopus in Spider-Man 2 and especially Geoffrey in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Roberto Macedo also voiced Severus Snape in three Harry Potter films, if I'm not mistaken. (Did you notice that Roberto voiced Snape in Harry Potter and Lauro, who passed away three weeks before him, voiced Dumbledore in the same film? Roberto voiced Geoffrey while Lauro voiced Uncle Phil, both from the same series, and the two voice actors passed away just a few days apart.) A sad coincidence. Roberto was also known for voicing César Évora in Mexican soap operas. Unfortunately, after battling a respiratory illness for months, he passed away at the age of 84. Neusa Maria Faro (07/07) Despite dedicating most of her life to theater and television, she also did several voiceovers, such as the voice of Kilmaza in The Fantastic Beasts of the World, Apple in Zillion, and Judy Robinson in Lost in Space (1965). As an actress, she became immortalized in "Eterna Valentina" (Chiquititas, 1997) and Divine (Soulmate). Neusa passed away at the age of 78, after spending several days in a São Paulo hospital. In September of this year, another star who passed away was voice actress Maria da Penha (September 24th). She was well known in the voice acting world for voicing Rita Repulsa in Power Rangers, Heather in the Poltergeist franchise, Yelana in Frozen II, and Brutus in Fire Horse. He was also known for voicing Kent Brockman in The Simpsons and Griphook in the Harry Potter films.
