At the time this video was shot in Feb 2023, CYDI was the only operator of ALCO RS-1's in regular revenue freight service in the US! CYDI knows the historical importance of these units, and finds them to be generally maintenance free, however, they do have a stash of ALCO 539 and other parts to keep these units running for years to come.
