SMEs in Pakistan | Zafar Iqbal | Khalil Ahmed
During his interview, Zafar Iqbal, Founder President Small & Medium Enterprises Alliance dilated upon the current state of SMEs. He opined that SMEs are fulcrum of the economy. The incumbent government must give it a top priority to cope with all economic woes of Pakistan. SMEs play a key role in shaping national growth strategies, employment generation and social cohesion by improving standard of living of vulnerable segments of society. SMEs contribute 40% in GDP of Pakistan and 25% in overall exports.
