Game Info --------------------------------------------------- Developer: Konami Publisher: Konami Year of Release: 1991 Game Review & Impressions --------------------------------------------------- Wild West rootin' rootin' six-gun shooting action is the order of the day, in this coin-op classic by Konami. Sunset Riders features some excellent audiovisuals for the time, and the 4-player coop offers up some pretty manic gameplay. In terms of influences, I think the game shares some DNA with the likes of Sega's Shinobi and Namco's Rolling Thunder. Sunset Riders feels like an evolution of that particular style of platform shooter, albeit faster paced and with better graphics. Overall, Sunset Riders is great fun. It's certainly a challenge, but it's also not ridiculously unfair like so many other arcade titles. Fans of run and gun games will find plenty to like here.
