07 23 The Sailing Lab – Navigating the West Mediterranean Sea

Continuing its ongoing mission across the Mediterranean, the Sailing Lab completed another 340-nautical-mile leg from Italy to Spain with a brief stopover in Minorca dividing the trip into two legs. The crew spent the majority of the journey offshore, navigating shifting weather patterns and sea states to document the "fluidity and materiality" of the Mediterranean Sea. Operating as a floating laboratory, the team focused on editing video and photographic reportages while synthesizing research gathered during the previous stage of the expedition. Finally, as the Spanish coast appeared on the horizon, the Barcelona skyline welcomed the crew at sunset.
