Placencia, Belize - a drive from the Point of the island to entrance (ocean side road view Placencia

Filmed December 2019 I wanted to give prospective visitors to Placencia a comprehensive view of the length of the island (approx. 19 miles long and 1/2 mile wide). Placencia is a village on a long island with resorts on the Caribbean coast of Belize. The southern tip of the Placencia Peninsula is known for its palm-lined beaches. Between the peninsula and the mainland, Placencia Lagoon is home to manatees and saltwater crocodiles. Offshore, there are dive sites on the coral Belize Barrier Reef. To the north, the Garífuna community of Seine Bight is a hub for traditional drumming and dance.
