Through an innovative use of materials and a merging of art, science and technology, light artist Stephen Knapp works with art with light to create abstract lightpaintings. He creates art that interacts with light – installation art pieces and light-based installations made using dichroic glass. Deriving inspiration from his studies of light, color, dimension, space and perception, artist Stephen Knapp has been creating art that interacts with and is transformed by light for over thirty years. This film is an overview of Stephen's work, his museum installations, and his multi-media installations. With his new media form of kinetic light sculpture, Knapp has gained an international reputation for large-scale works of art held in museums, public, corporate and private collections.
