Entering Akita Prefecture. Deep within the primeval forest, I captured the overwhelming clarity of the "Mototaki Underground Water" gushing from moss-covered rock faces in 4K. The next day, I headed towards Kakunodate, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, while photographing the collaboration of Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms blooming along the railway tracks and the "Akita Shinkansen Komachi" train. 【Tohoku Spring Trip 2025 #3】 A 12-day record of chasing cherry blossoms in full bloom across Tohoku in the spring of 2025. Leaving Yamagata behind, I drove alone into Akita Prefecture. First, I went to "Mototaki Underground Water," a place I had long wanted to photograph. The sight of the underground water from Mount Chokai cascading down in numerous waterfalls was truly a natural shower. I recorded the texture of the water and the vibrant contrast of the moss, made possible by 4K video. Along the way, I continued north, spotting Akita's famous "Babahera Ice Cream," searching for points where cherry blossoms and trains could be seen together. I found some fully bloomed Somei Yoshino cherry trees near a roadside rest stop. I managed to capture a shot of the red "Komachi" train speeding through them. Afterward, I arrived at my destination, Kakunodate.
